Camp Akita, located near Logan, Ohio, is a scenic little respite for seniors. At Akita, seniors spend a 24-hour period discussing and preparing for college and Walkabout. While it always seems as though this camp should be a blast, it is described by the seniors as enjoyable but grueling. The purpose of the retreat is to place seniors in an environment where they can focus on preparations for Walkabout, life after high school, and engage in group-building activities.
